Woodstock Festival Photos from 1969: From Eccentric Spectators to Spellbinding Performances from Iconic Singers

Richie Havens Ends His Three-Hour Set

Here is Richie Havens leaving the stage after his three-hour performance. Even though his performance ended, he continued to play his guitar intently. It almost seems like he needed to take his time leaving the stage after a long set.

Havens exerted a profound influence by the end of the festival, despite his relative obscurity before Woodstock. Interestingly, he stayed on stage for a long time, considering so many other performances were late. However, Haven ultimately did a fantastic job of keeping the audience interested. It must have been exciting to anticipate his appearance at the “Isle of Wright” event two weeks later.
