Canned Heat – Fried Hockey Boogie

The 30-minute extended performance of “Fried Hockey Boogie” by Canned Heat received one of the biggest and longest-standing ovations ever captured at Woodstock. Of course, an average person would have no idea what the song’s title or the band’s name means. However, it was the nicest thing they had ever heard from the people assembled that evening at the festival.

People started to demand more after realizing how well Canned Heat provided it. They then answered with a full-throttle performance of “On The Road Again.” Canned Heat rocked the house down before calling it a night with the help of their powerful guitar solos from Alan Wilson and Harvey Mandel.
