Andrew Marr & Jackie Ashley – 35 Years Together
Celebrated political editor Andrew Marr may be a force in journalism, but he gives thanks to his wife, Jackie, as one of the reasons he is alive and well. That’s because he was almost a goner in 2013, but it was his partner in crime that made it possible for his recovery.
Marr called Jackie “calming and reassuring” during his problem. After they had gone through such a difficult phase, she penned a heartfelt essay published in The Guardian, raising awareness of what their family suffered. To this day, the broadcaster continues to sing praises about his wife of over 35 years.
