Ilka Bessin schaffte den Durchbruch in der deutschen Unterhaltungsbranche als Comedy-Star. Unter dem Pseudonym „Cindy aus Marzahn“ brachte sie das Publikum mit ihrer frechen Art, dem auffälligen Make-up und dem pinken Jogginganzug zum Lachen. Eine kurze Zeit lang hatte sie diese Kunstfigur hinter sich gelassen und trat nur noch unter ihrem eigenen Namen auf.
Sie zeigte auch bei „Let’s Dance“, dass in ihr weit mehr steckt, als die breite Masse angenommen hatte. Nach einer beeindruckenden Gewichtsabnahme präsentiert sie sich in bester Form und feierte 2023 das Comeback von Cindy aus Marzahn.
