Smith findet jedoch nicht, dass Flaschenfütternde von dieser Solidarität ausgeschlossen werden sollten. “Flaschenfütternde Mütter können ihre Babys jederzeit und überall füttern,” fuhr Smith fort. “Niemand fühlt sich von einer Flasche beleidigt. Niemand denkt, dass unsere Babys nicht gefüttert werden sollten, aber sie lassen uns oft schnell wissen, dass sie wollen, dass wir es irgendwo anders machen, wo sie es nicht sehen müssen.”
Smith glaubt, dass es hier nicht darum geht, entweder die Flaschen- oder die Stillfütterung zu unterstützen, sondern einfach einer Mutter zu erlauben, das zu tun, was sie für das Beste für ihr Kind hält.
