Heel wat professionele voetballers raken in de vergetelheid, zodra ze van het grasveld afstappen en een nieuwe carrière nastreven. Ronald Koeman was een topspeler die met vier landstitels, twee keer Europcup I en een EK op zak zowat het hoogste had bereikt wat hij maar kon in zijn loopbaan. Toch slaagde hij er wonderwel in om ook als trainer dit te evenaren. Bij topclubs als Barcelona, PSV en het Nederlandse elftal stapelde hij verder de prijzen op en wist zijn spaarvarken nog wat te spekken. Hij heeft maar net bijgetekend bij Oranje en zal dus ongetwijfeld zijn vermogen van 35 miljoen euro in de komende jaren uitbreiden.
