MARCO BORSATO (56) – 8 MILJOEN EURO
In een heel ver verleden was Marco Borsato oorspronkelijk een kok. Maar toen hij mocht deelnemen aan de Soundmixshow en er met de eerste prijs ging lopen, kreeg hij een platencontract. De eerste paar jaar met Italiaanse liedjes die hem niet het verhoopte succes brachten, maar in 1994 brak hij dan toch door, toen hij ervoor koos om in het Nederlands aan de slag te gaan. Sindsdien heeft hij jaar na jaar de hitlijsten weten te domineren en is hij al veertien keer op de eerste plaats beland met zijn singles. Zijn privé leven heeft wat hoogtepunten en mindere momenten, maar zelfs na vele tegenslagen en financiële verliezen, is hij nog steeds goed voor meer dan acht miljoen euro.
