In de jaren negentig kende Nederland een echte opmars van deejays die ook internationaal wisten door te breken. Heel wat van hen zijn zelfs tot op vandaag nog altijd grote namen in de muziekindustrie. Armin van Buuren behoort niet alleen tot de top van ons taalgebied, maar geniet ook heel wat aanzien in de rest van de wereld. Hij is vijfvoudig beste deejay van de wereld en kan per jaar meer dan tien miljoen euro op zijn rekening zetten. Hij is regelmatig op grote festivals en feestjes terug te vinden en hoeft met een vermogen van 60 miljoen euro helemaal niet meer te werken. Maar zijn hobby is zijn beroep geworden, dus gaat gewoon hij lekker door.
