Dunja Hayali – Jahrgang 1974
Seit vielen Jahren engagiert sich die Journalistin Dunja Hayali intensiv gegen Hasskommentare und Diskriminierung von Flüchtlingen. Ihre eigene Familiengeschichte als Mitglied einer christlichen Einwandererfamilie aus Mossul hat sie geprägt und motiviert. Für ihre Arbeit als Moderatorin des “heute-journals” und ihre Kampagne “Respekt!” erhielt sie hohe Anerkennung, darunter die “Goldene Kamera” und das Bundesverdienstkreuz.
Doch ihr Engagement brachte ihr nicht nur Anerkennung, sondern auch Anfeindungen und Drohungen ein, gegen die sie rechtlich vorging. Dunja Hayali ist ein leuchtendes Beispiel für Mut und Standhaftigkeit und inspiriert viele Frauen durch ihre Stärke und ihr unermüdliches Engagement.
