Aber jetzt, wo sie Kajakfahren ausprobiert hat, hat sie entdeckt, dass ihr der Sport wirklich Spaß macht und ihre Angst vorm Wasser unbegründet war. Sie betonte weiter, dass sie sich nicht so sehr um ihr Aussehen oder ihr abgenommenes Gewicht kümmere, sondern um das neue Leben, das sie sich erschaffe. Und dieser Mut ist ansteckend und inspiriert jetzt Menschen auf der ganzen Welt.
Während des Interviews verriet Lexi auch, dass es ihr sehr wichtig ist, dass ihr der Sport, den sie betreibt, Spaß macht. Es bringt nichts, sich stundenlang zu quälen, wenn man hinterher nicht gut gelaunt und stolz auf sich sein kann. Sie sagt, dass sogar ein Spaziergang einen Unterschied machen kann, ebenso wie ein paar Minuten auf einem Sportgerät.
