Nach all den Jahren hatte Lexi nicht nur die Faulheit satt, sie hatte es satt, dick zu sein, und sie hatte es satt, die einfachsten Dinge nicht meistern zu können, weil sie immer fast 100 Pfund Übergewicht hatte. Oft konnte sie nicht einmal mit ihrem Mann einen romantischen Spaziergang machen ohne außer Atem zu sein. Und nicht zuletzt wurde sie auch von einem Albtraum heimgesucht, weil sie wegen ihres Übergewichts keine Kinder bekommen konnte.
Lexi hatte deshalb begonnen, ihre unglaubliche Transformation zu dokumentieren, indem sie ihre Fortschritte mit Freunden in den sozialen Medien teilte. Das gab ihr mehr Motivation, sich auf ihre Aufgabe zu konzentrieren.
