Lothar Herbert Matthäus wurde 1961 in Erlangen geboren. Der ehemalige deutsche Fußballspieler und -trainer begann seine Karriere bei Borussia Mönchengladbach. Seinen Karrierehöhepunkt erreichte Lothar Matthäus bei der Weltmeisterschaft 1990 in Italien, indem er das deutsche Team zum Sieg führte.

Nachdem er seine aktive Spielerkarriere beendet hatte, war er viele Jahre als Trainer tätig. Heute ist Lothar als Experte und Kolumnist für diverse Zeitungen aktiv.
