GHEORGHE HAGI & MARILENA HAGI – 24 JAAR GETROUWD
Met de eeuwwisseling liep de uiterst succesvolle carrière van Gheorghe Hagi ten einde op het veld van Galatasaray. De man begon ooit in Roemenië waar hij maar liefst zes keer de beste voetballer van het land werd, maar hij groeide internationaal uit tot één van de weinigen die zich met Maradona mocht vergelijken. Enkele jaren was hij zelfs de sterkhouder van Real Madrid en FC Barcelona. Maar bovenal was hij een uiterst liefdevolle en trouwe partner voor zijn grote liefde Marilena. Net voordat hij voorgoed van het veld stapte, gaf hij haar zijn ja-woord en het koppel kreeg samen twee kinderen. Hun zoon Ianis is ondertussen ook aan een profcarrière begonnen.
