GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST & MARIEKE WOLSERS – 22 JAAR GETROUWD
Toen Giovanni van Bronckhorst nog de onschuld zelve was in de middelbare school, leerde hij zijn jeugdvriendin Mariek Wolsers kennen. Het was 1994 en Giovanni had weinig aandacht voor iets anders dan voetbal. Toch leek hij voor haar te vallen en kregen ze verkering. Zes jaar later toen hij bij de Rangers aan de slag was, schoven ze elkaar een ring om de vinger. Samen trokken ze de wereld rond om zijn carrière alle kansen te geven en Marieke bleek de sterke kracht achter het succes van haar man. Ondertussen is hun gezin uitgebreid met twee zonen en is van Bronckhorst bij Rangers terug, dit keer als trainer.
