NIGEL DE JONG & WINONA LEEFLAND – 18 JAAR SAMEN
Vorig jaar nog maar, sloot Nigel de Jong een succesvolle loopbaan in het profvoetbal af bij Al-Shahania. Jaren lang was hij in Duitsland, Nederland, Engeland, Italië en zelfs Amerika te zien op de velden. Het was tijdens zijn periode bij Ajax, dat hij zijn vriendin Winona Leefland leerde kennen en de vonk oversloeg. Hij heeft er wel moeten voor werken voor hij de Surinaamse aan de haak kon slaan. Het duurde dan nog tot 2009 voor hij om haar hand vroeg en de twee in het huwelijksbootje stapten. Zijn wilde haren is hij ondertussen al kwijtgeraakt en dat allemaal dankzij de sterke vrouw achter de succesvolle voetballer.
