MARCO VAN BASTEN & LIESBETH VAN CAPELLEVEEN – 36 JAAR SAMEN
Het was een pijnlijk moment toen Marco van Basten omwille van een zware blessure in 1995 moest afscheid nemen van het professionele voetbal. Toen al kon hij terugblikken op een internationale bekendheid als één van de beste spelers aller tijden, met vele titels om dat te ondersteunen. Op het einde van zijn periode bij Ajax leerde hij zijn vriendin Liesbeth van Capelleveen kennen. De plannen van hun huwelijk werden even on hold gezet omdat Marco een slippertje maakte, maar uiteindelijk werden de plooien gladgestreken en stapten ze in het huwelijksbootje in 1993. Op vandaag heeft het tweetal drie kinderen en is Marco niet meer op het veld te bespeuren.
