Heel recent nog is Philip Cocu aangekomen als trainer bij Vitesse. Voordien nog kon hij bij Fenerbahce en Derby County aan de slag en bracht zo’n tien jaar door aan het roer van PSV. Als speler had hij vooral bij Barcelona een topperiode beleefd. In 2006, even voordat hij voorgoed van het veld stapte, kwam een einde aan zijn huwelijk, wegens het overspel van zijn partner. Het duurde nog vier jaar voor hij weer de moed had om in een relatie te stappen en leerde toen Dorien Leurs kennen. Hij had al drie kinderen toen hij met haar een koppel werd, maar ondertussen is hun gezin met nog een extra kind uitgebreid.
