The Real-Life Big Chungus
In 2018, an internet meme went viral after a picture of a large and overweight cartoon rabbit. This rabbit is actually the iconic Bugs Bunny, who was imitating his rival Elmer Fudd by blowing himself up and replacing his R’s with W’s. This happened in a 1941 Merrie Melodies cartoon.
The meme was called Big Chungus, which was also the name of an unreleased video game. The photo above has reignited interest in this meme and has also almost taken its place in a manner of speaking. This is because of the size of the rabbit the girl is holding, which is enormous, and reminiscent of the Big Chungus meme.
