Leonardo Del Vecchio è l’emblema del self-made man, ossia di quell’uomo che si è fatto da solo. Del Vecchio infatti ha fondato e presiede il marchio Luxottica ed è Presidente esecutivo di EssilorLuxottica, ossia la più grande holding mondiale che produce e vende occhiali, consta di circa 80 mila dipendenti e più di 9 mila negozi. L’imprenditore è anche importante azionista di Covivio e Assicurazioni Generali.
