NICOLA PIOVANI (75)
Nicola Piovani is an Italian pianist, composer and conductor, author of numerous soundtracks. We remember the victory in 1999 of the Oscar for the music of the film Life is Beautiful. The composer has also collaborated with directors of the caliber of Mario Monicelli, Nanni Moretti, Giuseppe Tornatore and Federico Fellini. His most recent soundtrack is from 2020 for the film Gli anni più belli by Gabriele Muccino. In addition to his work for the cinema, Piovani also deals with stage music. In fact, he writes the shows for Carlo Cecchi, Luca De Filippo, Vittorio Gasmann. He is also an important author of musical theater and concert music.
