Karyn Parsons – Born in 1966

Karyn Parsons rose to fame as Hilary Banks on the NBC sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” captivating audiences from 1990 to 1996. Her performance in “Major Payne” further highlighted her comedic talent. Despite facing challenges in securing roles that were often competed for by Halle Berry, Karyn transitioned into a successful author.

She then founded the Sweet Blackberry Foundation to educate children about notable but underrepresented Black figures in history. In 2019, she ventured back into acting, playing Tracy in the short film “On Monday of Last Week” and has authored children’s books, including the novel “How High the Moon.”​​​​​
