The Historic Sandals
Steve Jobs, the co-founder of one of the world’s top companies, left this world in 2011 due to uncertain health conditions. Yet, he did not just leave unforgettable reminders of his success for the world (that can never be appreciated enough), but he also left his goods and chattels for others to have a glimpse of. Over the years, many of his possessions have been auctioned off to the highest bidder.
At one auction, one of the oldest Apple computers was sold for a whopping $677,169. Today, however, we are talking about the recent purchases of Job's sandals, which were bought for an extremely high price - higher than any footwear that has ever been sold at an auction. These bad boys are a collection of BirkenStocks’ Arizona Soft Footbed, which currently cost $145.

What Makes Them Worth Thousands Of Dollars
Twelve years after his death, one of his evergreen footwear was sold. These Chestnut-colored sandals have had a great history with the co-founder of Apple. He wore them in the early days of his success between the 1970s and 1980s, and they were more like his comfort wear which he would put on everywhere.
One of his close friends claims that he would wear them for significant corporate events, as well as in his daily use. Every day he woke up, it was obvious that this pair was his all-time favorite in his closet. It reminded him of always staying down to earth and was a symbol of humility to him. It may sound cliche, but everyone has their anxiety reliever, be it a fidget spinner or a foam ball. For him, it seemed to be this pair of chestnuts that he wore until they were completely worn off.
Everyone has their 'happy place,' a comfortable belonging ranging from a toy that was given to them by their parents at an early age to a living person whom they love. Think about it yourself why would a person as wealthy as Jobs bother keeping a pair of dusty useless slippers with him till his death? It brought him back to the ups and downs he faced for the man he turned out to be, for the man he is remembered.

The victor was obviously going to be this person, for bidding around three hundred thousand USD is very common indeed. The man is a Chinese trader, who did not want to disclose his identity. When asked what the shoe smells like, the buyer proclaimed it has the "scent of success."
