Santana And His Soul Sacrifice
Grammy Award winner Carlos Santana’s mastery of the guitar is nothing short of iconic. This is why it’s funny to learn that during one of his best performances at Woodstock, he had a hallucination. However, the picture makes it impossible to discern because he simply appears to be engrossed in the music.
Santana was the leader of a psychedelic jam band bearing his own name. At the time, the band was one of the less well-known acts to attend the festival. However, they only needed 11 minutes on stage for their rendition of “Soul Sacrifice” to leave an enduring impression.
