If there’s one thing that horror films have taught us, it’s that a bunch of people wandering into the woods always ends badly. Muddy footpaths also provide an additional dimension of ghoulishness to the story. Because running through the mud without getting stuck takes an exceptional kind of person.
However, Woodstock was pretty secure, which explains why these women don’t appear to be disturbed in the least bit. Additionally, the signs seem reasonable; nobody could be wounded while walking down a nice forest trail. The funky route would have been the best option for festival-goers seeking a bit more adventure.
