Given the size of the crowds at Woodstock, many attendees had problems seeing most of the concerts. And you wouldn’t be content till you saw the stage if you had traveled great distances to see some of your favorite artists play.
Those sound towers were plainly not intended to support any additional weight. From the look of things, a fall was likely going to happen as hundreds of others climbed on for the added height. But you have to applaud the resilience of a group that is prepared to face danger head-on in order to obtain their goal—a better view.
