Her main motivation was her daughter Shannon, who went into the competition with her. Despite Shannon’s elimination, Helen continued to push through. She surprised everyone with her 140-pound weight loss. She decided it was time for all of the family to lead a healthy lifestyle. They have all changed their habits and Helen has continued to spread the word. She is also a runner and frequently participates in marathons.
