Der ÖVP-Politiker Sebastian Kurz gewann die Bundeskanzlerwahl im Jahre 2017 und wurde somit zum jüngsten Staatsoberhaupt Europas. Der gebürtige Wiener wurde in ganz Europa sehr stark wegen seiner anfänglichen Zusammenarbeit mit der rechtspopulistischen Partei der FPÖ kritisiert.
Sebastian Kurz hatte in seiner Laufbahn als Kanzler mit vielen Rückschlägen zu kämpfen. Sein größter Rückschlag war, der damalige Rücktritt als Kanzler aufgrund der Ermittlungen wegen des Verdachts der Bestechlichkeit und Untreue. Doch im Jahre 2019 schaffte er es erneut wiedergewählt zu werden. Sein jährliches Vermögen liegt bei rund 200 000 Euro und sein Gesamtvermögen wird auf ca. 2 Millionen Euro geschätzt.
