Darüber hinaus war er fast zwanzig Jahre lang als Premierminister in Luxemburg tätig, dieser Posten soll berichten zufolge 200 000 Euro jährlich einbringen. Als Vorsitzender, der ‘’ Euro- Gruppe’’ konnte er sich ebenfalls behaupten. Sein Gesamtvermögen wird auf sage und schreibe rund 5 Millionen Euro geschätzt.
