Der SPD-Politiker Franz Müntefering war 15 Jahre lang als Abgeordneter des Bundestags tätig und zwei Jahre lang als Vizekanzler. Zudem war sein Posten auch der des Minister für Verkehr-, Bau- und Wohnungswesen.
Für Aufmerksamkeit sorgte der SPD-Politiker mit seinem Statement, dass 600 Euro Rente monatlich vollkommen ausreichen müsste und dass das Rentenalter angehoben werden sollte. Er bekräftigte sein Statement mit der Begründung, dass man einfach weniger körperliche Jobs ausüben solle.Die Rente von Franz Müntefering ist dennoch viel höher als die eines durchschnittlichen Bürgers, sein Gesamtvermögen wird auf rund 3 Millionen Euro geschätzt.
