Der Politiker Helge Braun beschloss im Teenager-Alter, Ende der achtziger Jahre, der “Jungen Union” beizutreten. Kurze Zeit später wurde er Kreisvorsitzender seiner Heimatstadt Gießen, und sammelte dort seine ersten politischen Erfahrungen.
Helge beschloss auch daneben als Doktor in Medizin sich promovieren zu lassen, aber der Weg in der Politik, war für ihn immer am wichtigsten und so wurde er zum Staatsminister gewählt und ist mittlerweile Bundestagsabgeordneter. Er verdiente für seinen Beruf, wie die meisten in der Politik, rund 20 000 Euro monatlich. Das Vermögen Braus wird mittlerweile auf ungefähr eine Million Euro geschätzt.
