Melissa McCarthy spielte zusammen mit Lauren Graham in der beliebten Serie “The Gilmore Girls” mit. In der Sendung verkörperte Melissa den Charakter Sookie, die aufgrund ihrer Fröhlichkeit und Tollpatschigkeit bei den Fans gut ankam. Zum damaligen Zeitpunkt brachte Melissa noch ein paar Extra-Kilos auf die Waage.
Tatsächlich litt die Schauspielerin unter ihrem Gewicht, weshalb sie sich entschloss, eine Diät auszuprobieren. Außerdem begann sie, mehr Sport zu treiben. So konnte sie in kurzer Zeit 30 Kilo abnehmen. Das Ergebnis zeigt Melissa gerne. Sie trägt heute figurbetonte Outfits anstatt weite Anziehklamotten.
