Elke Sommer | Schauspielerin und Sängerin | geb. 1940 in Berlin
Schauspielerin Elke Sommer schaffte das, wovon viele Träumen: den Sprung nach Hollywood. Dank eines Schönheitswettbewerbs wurde die Berlinerin von dem Regisseur Vittorio De Sica entdeckt, der sie direkt für einen Film engagierte. Nach einigen Filmen ging Sommer dann in den 1960er-Jahren nach Amerika, dort konnte sie aber nie richtig Fuß fassen. Sommer versuchte, ihre Bekanntheit als Schauspielerin auch für eine Gesangskarriere zu nutzen. Zunächst war sie damit erfolglos, konnte aber später immerhin Achtungserfolge erzielen. 2010 spielte Sommer in “Das Leben ist zu lang” das letzte Mal in einem Film mit. Heute lebt Sommer mit ihrem zweiten Ehemann bei Erlangen und in Los Angeles.
