Cyndi Laupers Musik darf auf keiner guten 80er-Jahre Party fehlen. Singles wie “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” (1983), “Time after Time” (1984) und “I drove all night” (1987) sind allesamt Klassiker der Popmusik. Zu Laupers Markenzeichen gehören ihre extravaganten Bühnenoutfits und die farbenfrohen Haare. 2013 schrieb die Pop-Queen die Musik und die Lyrics für das Hit-Musical “Kinky Boots”. Für ihre Leistung wurde Lauper mit dem Theaterpreis Tony Awards ausgezeichnet. Damit war die Musikerin die erste Komponistin, die eine Auszeichnung in “Best Score” gewinnen konnte. Allerdings ist es aktuell etwas ruhiger um Lauper geworden. Ihr letztes Studioalbum “Detour” erschien 2016. Wir hoffen, dass sie uns demnächst mit neuem Output überraschen wird.
