Gitte Hænning | Sängerin und Schauspielerin | geb. 1946 in Aarhus, Dänemark
Gitte Hænnings Hit “Ich will einen Cowboy als Mann” (1963) darf auf keiner guten Schlagerparty fehlen. Der Song bescherte der quirligen Sängerin in den 1960er-Jahren den Durchbruch. Allerdings kann Gitte noch mehr, denn seit den 1980er-Jahren zeigte sich die Dänin als gereifte Popsängerin, die zum Beispiel auch Blues- und Jazzlieder in ihr Programm aufnahm. Auch heute steht Gitte noch auf der Bühne, an Ruhestand scheint sie nicht zu denken. 2021 war die Sängerin mit ihrer eigenen Band auf Tour. Ansonsten engagiert sich Gitte auch gesellschaftlich. Sie ist Botschafterin einer Initiative, die Frauen und Mädchen hilft, die in Not geraten sind. Dieses Engagement finden wir natürlich toll.
