Quelques jours plus tard, après avoir trouvé le mari de Kinney sur Facebook, Jackie-Johnson Smith a vu une occasion parfaite de remercier Kinney comme il se doit. “S’il vous plaît, remerciez votre femme de ma part”, a-t-elle écrit. “J’aurais dû retourner dans le restaurant et la remercier en personne. Je devrais toujours le faire.”
“J’ai été stupéfaite par sa gentillesse et par le fait qu’elle ait fait plus que nécessaire pour me mettre à l’aise et me faire sentir acceptée”, a-t-elle déclaré.
