Cependant, la volonté admirable de Jackie-Johnson Smith a commencé à se former bien avant l’arrivée de ses enfants, alors qu’elle a grandi comme une garçon manqué déterminée et a également servi dans l’armée des États-Unis après le lycée. Après la naissance de son premier enfant, elle s’est consacrée à ses enfants, se mettant continuellement au défi de devenir la meilleure mère possible.
Comme de nombreuses jeunes mères, Jackie-Johnson Smith trouvait peu de temps pour elle-même. Ainsi, une nuit, le travail en cuisine et la vie à la maison sont devenus trop lourds pour elle, et elle a décidé avec son mari qu’ils avaient besoin d’une soirée en famille !
