Dès ses débuts comme speakerine à l’ORTF en 1968, Évelyne Dhéliat a su tracer sa route avec un charisme insatiable. Elle est choisie comme présentatrice pour le concours de l’Eurovision en 1980 puis co-animatrice de La Maison de TF1 durant la même décennie. Dès 1991, elle devient la voix météo sur cette chaîne et finit par en diriger le service météo en 2000 avant de diriger celui de LCI en 2009.
Saluée par le 7 d’Or en 1985, Estelle Denis est reconnue comme animatrice météo préférée des Français en 2011. Son salaire mensuel pour présenter la météo chez TF1 est compris entre 25 000 et 30 000 euros, à raison de 300 000 à 360 000 euros par an.
