Karine Le Marchand, née Karine M’fayokurera à Nancy en 1968, débute dans les médias à la radio et au mannequinat avant de marquer les esprits avec l’émission Les Maternelles. Son succès vient surtout avec L’amour est dans le pré, qu’elle présente sur M6 à partir de 2010.
Son salaire en un mois, selon Karine Le Marchand, se situe aux alentours de 30 000 euros par mois, est c’est un niveau qu’elle assume avec humilité. D’autres estimations évoquent un cachet de 15 000 euros par prime pour l’Amour est dans le pré. Elle peut empocher jusqu’à 200 000 euros pour une saison de cette émission. Le Marchand a annoncé le 3 juillet 2025 qu’elle lançait un projet sur l’hygiène et la cosmétique.
