Diplômé du CFJ et de Sciences Po, Gilles Bouleau commence à TF1 comme reporter avant d’endosser le costume de correspondant à Londres puis à Washington. En 2012, il succède à Laurence Ferrari et prend les commandes du JT de 20 heures, qu’il présente depuis avec sobriété et efficacité. Sur le plateau, il se montre discret sur ses émoluments, évoquant lors d’une interview son salaire comparé à celui d’un bon gardien de Ligue 2.
