Agnetha Fältskog – Sweden, 71
Pop music may have been flying a bit under the radar lately, but fans need not worry, especially when artists from the ’70s like Agnetha Fältskog are still going strong. Her rise in the music industry was quite simultaneous to the Swedish pop group ‘ABBA,’ which she was a part of, though the lady’s individual commercial standing was already flourishing in her home country owing to the self-titled album she released.
‘I Stand Alone,’ one of Agnetha’s solo and better-known albums, was followed by a 17-year hiatus. Still, her post-break releases, including ‘My Colouring Book’ and ‘A,’ were such stellar compositions; they peaked at several charts. Even in her 70s, this woman gives the new-gen voices a tough run.
