These Hollywood Legends Are Still Alive And Winning Life
Fiona Phillips – Kent, 61
Born in Canterbury, Kent, the English journalist Fiona Phillips is best known for her various presenting roles in the long-running ITV show “GMTV,” in which she started working in 1993. British viewers should also be familiar with Phillips because of her recurrent appearances in “Loose Women” and “Lorraine.” In 2005, she appeared as a contestant in “Strictly Come Dancing.”
A former radio host, Phillips is proud to have a long career in television, but she’s not thinking of stopping anytime soon. Still active, she also proved to have a knack for presenting documentaries, as seen in the 2019 production “Ryanair: Britain’s Best Hated Airline.”
Richard Chamberlain – Beverly Hills, 84
Before Justin Beiber and One Direction, there was George Richard Chamberlain. It might be hard to believe it but this man was a teen idol even before the term became popular. He was such a sensation it’s hard to understand how he did it without the influence of social media.

George’s role as Dr. Kildare is what made him a household name but even after the show ended he still managed to bag some other iconic roles that boosted his portfolio. His charm and acting skills probably have to do with his experience as a classical stage actor and his time in musical theater.
Victoria Principal – Japan, 72
Soap operas have been a big hit in the American TV scene for as long as one can remember, and the primetime series ‘Dallas’ is one among them. Viewers remember the show for its iconic family feud premise, intriguing conflicts, and Victoria Principal, who blew magic into her portrayal of Pamela Barnes Ewing for nine long years before finally delving into her production company.

Of course, the phenomenal actress, a ‘Golden Globe’ winner, proved her flair by producing several TV films though she didn’t completely put a halt to her acting gigs. Besides, Victoria relishes showcasing her entrepreneurial instincts through her skincare line and book-writing finesse.
Kate Garraway – Berkshire, 55
Active since 1994, the English broadcaster Kate Garraway is one of the most distinguished faces in British television, and she’s appeared in an impressive 100-plus TV shows over the years (as per IMDb). “Good Morning Britain” is her most famous and enduring gig, and she’s already made it to more than 450 episodes of the ITV breakfast program.

Always busy and looking for new exciting opportunities in radio and television, Garraway is also known for her radio work on Smooth Radio, where she hosts “Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway.” In the 2022 New Year Honors, she was awarded the Order of the British Empire.
Loni Anderson – Minnesota, 79
Beginner’s luck is one thing; perseverance and years’ worth of toil are elements that keep legends like Loni Anderson in the game even decades after their first screen appearance nevertheless. ‘Nevada Smith,’ a ’60s hit, marked the actress’ debut though it took her 10 years to secure her next stint, after which she never dipped career-wise.

Touching in Anderson’s legacy, her role ‘WKRP in Cincinnati’ created a much-needed stir, leading to endless offers and three ‘Golden Globe’ nominations coming her way. Truly, her retirement will mark the conclusion of an era that gave us ‘Easy Street, ‘Nurses,’ and ‘The Mullets.’ Then again, her ever-busy schedule hints her retreat from the industry is pretty far to come.
Ali MacGraw – New York, 82
If there’s one artist who slew with her covetable looks and exquisite acting brilliance in equal proportions, it has to be Ali MacGraw. Her professional career dawned in the fashion realm where she went from being a photography assistant to a magazine model. Following some humble TV commercial stints, the actress bagged a role in ‘Goodbye, Columbus’ that carved her future career path phenomenally.

Within a year, MacGraw appeared in the ’70s romantic drama ‘Love Story,’ one among the world’s highest-grossing films. What tagged along was global recognition and a string of distinctions, including the ‘Academy Awards.’ Now, despite those hard-worked decades, she exudes unmatched elegance every time she steps out.

Susan Tully – London, 54
Susan Tully ruled the silver screen for quite a while as the unforgettable Suzanne Ross in ‘Grange Hill.’ This role served as a stepping stone for her career as she landed a recurring role in the British soap opera titled ‘EastEnders.’

Sadly, the hit show was the last time Susan would be in front of the camera as she decided to retire from acting in 1995. Nevertheless, she still wanted to be a part of the world albeit in a different capacity. That’s how our good lady began her new job in the director’s chair. That’s not all since Susan has also amassed several credits as a producer.
Jacqueline Bisset – Surrey, 77
Jacqueline Bisset is as stunningly beautiful today as she was during her debut in 1965. Can you believe that in the earlier years of her acting career she was typecast as being too pretty? It was her amazing performance in ‘The Sweet Ride’ in 1968 that got her noticed and also won the aspiring actress a ‘Golden Globe’ nomination.

She’s a star who has aged gracefully and the number hasn’t stopped her in the least from following her passion for acting. In 2021, Jacqueline featured in the movie ‘Birds of Paradise’ and was praised for her brilliant performance as the stern Madame Brunelle. We cannot wait to see her continue to grace our screens with her amazing presence.

In her outstanding career spanning over seven decades, Julie has achieved something which is every actor’s dream. Thelma Barlow – North Riding of Yorkshire, 92
We can’t deny that in the past few years, we hadn’t seen much of actress Thelma Barlow on our Tv screen. Yet, when she appeared as a guest in the documentary ‘Coronation Street Icons: Norris Code’ in 2021, it restored hope in her fans that she is still active and can surprise us whenever she wants.

Known for her work in two great shows named ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘dinnerladies,’ Barlow is also an author of the book ‘Organic Gardening with Love.’ Apparently, which also makes us think that maybe having a love for gardening, she spends most of her time on it, which is undoubtedly not a wrong way to spend your golden years either.
Vanessa Redgrave – London, 85
If you want to know how an excellent acting career looks, you should better have a peek at actress Vanessa Redgrave’s over six-decade-long entertainment journey. We bet her career trajectory will dumbfound you!
