Richard Chamberlain – Beverly Hills, 84
Before Justin Beiber and One Direction, there was George Richard Chamberlain. It might be hard to believe it but this man was a teen idol even before the term became popular. He was such a sensation it’s hard to understand how he did it without the influence of social media.

George’s role as Dr. Kildare is what made him a household name but even after the show ended he still managed to bag some other iconic roles that boosted his portfolio. His charm and acting skills probably have to do with his experience as a classical stage actor and his time in musical theater.
Victoria Principal – Japan, 72
Soap operas have been a big hit in the American TV scene for as long as one can remember, and the primetime series ‘Dallas’ is one among them. Viewers remember the show for its iconic family feud premise, intriguing conflicts, and Victoria Principal, who blew magic into her portrayal of Pamela Barnes Ewing for nine long years before finally delving into her production company.

Of course, the phenomenal actress, a ‘Golden Globe’ winner, proved her flair by producing several TV films though she didn’t completely put a halt to her acting gigs. Besides, Victoria relishes showcasing her entrepreneurial instincts through her skincare line and book-writing finesse.

Touching in Anderson’s legacy, her role ‘WKRP in Cincinnati’ created a much-needed stir, leading to endless offers and three ‘Golden Globe’ nominations coming her way. Truly, her retirement will mark the conclusion of an era that gave us ‘Easy Street, ‘Nurses,’ and ‘The Mullets.’ Then again, her ever-busy schedule hints her retreat from the industry is pretty far to come.

Within a year, MacGraw appeared in the ’70s romantic drama ‘Love Story,’ one among the world’s highest-grossing films. Susan Tully ruled the silver screen for quite a while as the unforgettable Suzanne Ross in ‘Grange Hill.’ This role served as a stepping stone for her career as she landed a recurring role in the British soap opera titled ‘EastEnders.’

Sadly, the hit show was the last time Susan would be in front of the camera as she decided to retire from acting in 1995. Nevertheless, she still wanted to be a part of the world albeit in a different capacity. That’s how our good lady began her new job in the director’s chair. That’s not all since Susan has also amassed several credits as a producer.
Jacqueline Bisset – Surrey, 77
Jacqueline Bisset is as stunningly beautiful today as she was during her debut in 1965. Can you believe that in the earlier years of her acting career she was typecast as being too pretty? It was her amazing performance in ‘The Sweet Ride’ in 1968 that got her noticed and also won the aspiring actress a ‘Golden Globe’ nomination.

She’s a star who has aged gracefully and the number hasn’t stopped her in the least from following her passion for acting. Thelma Barlow – North Riding of Yorkshire, 92
We can’t deny that in the past few years, we hadn’t seen much of actress Thelma Barlow on our Tv screen. Yet, when she appeared as a guest in the documentary ‘Coronation Street Icons: Norris Code’ in 2021, it restored hope in her fans that she is still active and can surprise us whenever she wants.

Known for her work in two great shows named ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘dinnerladies,’ Barlow is also an author of the book ‘Organic Gardening with Love.’ Apparently, which also makes us think that maybe having a love for gardening, she spends most of her time on it, which is undoubtedly not a wrong way to spend your golden years either.

From his 1991 ‘Academy Award’ winning performance as Hannibal Lector in ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ to the most recent ‘Oscar’ winner ‘The Father’ in 2020, Anthony has consistently chosen difficult roles and turned them into masterpieces on-screen. He’s now more selective about his acting projects and prefers to spend time with his cat or break out into impromptu dances in his living room.
Hugh Grant – London, 61
Hugh Grant is a heaven-sent for everyone who’s into watching romantic comedies. His movies ‘Notting Hill,’ ‘Two Weeks Notice,’ and ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ almost always make it to several ‘all time favorite films’ list. For a man who considers himself to be a reluctant actor, he has done outstandingly well in the industry.

Despite being in the limelight, Hugh is well-known for being reticent in sharing his personal life with the media. He still continues to shy away from the spotlight but allows his amazing acting skills to speak for itself. In 2020, the multi-award winning star’s performance in the miniseries ‘The Undoing’ got him rave reviews.
Jeremy Irons – Isle of Wight, 73
His magnetic on-screen presence is unparalleled in the world of cinema. He’s none other than Jeremy Irons, who has blessed us with intense performances in movies like ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’ and ‘Reversal of Fortune,’ for which he won an ‘Academy Award’ in 1990.

Jeremy made his debut as an actor on stage in 1969 and continued to perform in ‘West End Productions’ for a while doing Shakespearean plays like ‘Macbeth.’ He even won a ‘Tony Award’ for his Broadway debut in 1984 winning accolades for his impeccable portrayals. Even after spending over five decades in this profession, his passion for the craft hasn’t dimmed. In 2022, we were thrilled to see him in ‘House of Gucci.’
Jim Broadbent – London, 72
Jim Broadbent is the face of English cinema. A highly acclaimed actor; he has a splendid career that spans over decades. The man is a powerhouse of talent and energy, which explains why he has no plans of retiring even while being in his ’70s.

During his years as a student, Jim was an art major. Soon he shifted towards acting and got enrolled in the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He graduated in 1972, and thus began his acting career. Be it theatre, TV, or movies, there is nothing that this man has not done. He is the recipient of prestigious accolades like multiple ‘Academy Awards’ and ‘Golden Globes.’
Liam Neeson – Ballymena, 69
Not many people have inspiring life stories in the entertainment industry. Yet still, we have some exceptions like Liam Neeson who worked their way up with pure blood and sweat. Before being the known face that he is today, Neeson used to do small jobs to make the ends meet.

His first break into acting made him realize the talent that he holds, and there was no turning back after that. Neeson had countless hit movies in his career and impressed people every time he appeared on the screen. He recently gave his fans a treat when he appeared in the 2021 movie ‘The Ice Road’.
Malcolm McDowell – Horsforth, 78
Everyone has that one event in their life that completely alters the course of their life ahead. For the legendary actor, Malcolm McDowell, it was when he started working with the British theatre company ‘Royal Shakespeare Company.’ This marked the beginning of an outstanding acting career that the whole world witnessed.

His debut movie ‘If…’ garnered enough fame that he was soon considered as one of the most talented actors of the time, making him the favorite actor of producers back then. His power-packed performances got him various awards as well. After entertaining his fans for decades, the actor is now associated with ‘Fangoria’s Dreadtime Stories’.
Michael Caine – London, 89
Whenever we see the list of the actors starring in a movie and we see Michael Caine’s name in it, we know for sure that the movie is going to be a treat. This is the stature that Caine has held throughout his career of six decades and more to come.

His acting performances not only won him millions of fans, but also a beautiful wife. The actor has featured in many films and has never failed to impress us with any role, which is why he has attained the status of an icon in the British entertainment industry. He also appeared in the movie ‘Best Sellers’ in 2021.
Patrick Stewart – England, 81
“Legendary” doesn’t even begin to describe the incredible things Patrick Stewart has done in the acting industry. We honestly can’t find the right words for this man who has dedicated over six decades of his life starring in several stage productions and movies and has received various awards and nominations to that effect.

From portraying several Shakespeare characters to starring in the popular franchise ‘Star Trek,’ Stewart has seen it all and done it all. It’s even more interesting that as he gets older, the actor is still very active and is even ready to take on more daring roles. This is one reason we’ll settle for “powerhouse” as a perfect description.
Rowan Atkinson – County Durham, 67
Rowan Atkinson made us laugh for years. Who would ever forget the dramatic actor who starred in the popular sitcom ‘Mr. Bean’? Rowan’s sense of humor is so top-notch, he was recognized as one of the funniest British actors in 2007. Still, ‘Bean’ isn’t the performer’s only successful work, as he has starred in other movies like ‘Never Say Never Again.’

Besides acting, Rowan has also displayed his talent as a voice-over artist, and his most peculiar voicing is in ‘The Lion King’ as the hornbill bird Zazu. Overall, the ‘Blackadder’ has a successful acting career, but recently, Rowan has moved into political activism and speaks vehemently against cancel culture.
Sean Bean – Sheffield, 62
Besides having the talent, Sean Bean graduated from the ‘Royal Academy of Dramatic Art,’ and this combo explains how the actor has managed to shake the entertainment industry for decades. Sean is famous for how he portrays his characters with so much depth and professionalism. You only have to see the thespian in films like ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and ‘Game of Thrones’ to know that this isn’t your average actor.

Sean is also known to take on various villainous roles, and at 62, you can agree with us that the ‘James Bond’ actor still has time on his hands, and we hope to see him in more captivating roles.
Shirley Cheriton – London, 66
It’s no news that the popular soap opera ‘EastEnders’ brought many actors into the limelight, and Shirley Cheriton is one of them. Known for playing the role of Debbie Wilkins in the series, we were able to enjoy Shirley’s raw talent onscreen. Other notable works of the British celebrity are ‘Are You Being Served?’ and ‘M.I.T.: Murder Investigation Team.’

We would have loved to see more top-notch acting skills from Shirley, but it’s been a while since she graced our T.V. screens. Without a doubt, however, Shirley is having the time of her life even in her older years – knowing that is enough consolation for us.
Sir Ben Kingsley – Yorkshire, 78
We simply can’t list out all of Sir Ben Kingsley’s achievements, but by way of summary, we’d have you know that this actor has won several awards in over five decades of acting. After spending the first 15 years of his acting career on stage, majorly working with the ‘Royal Shakespeare Company,’ Ben transitioned to television and film, where he has starred in various top-rated movies like ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.’

Ben is also a political activist and engages in charity work every now and then. His recent movie in 2021 is proof that though the actor is old, he’s not too old to stay away from acting.
