Only a handful of stars have done it all; from being an activist, model, author, and producer, Joanna Lumley knows no limits. For someone with no formal acting lessons, The BAFTA fellowship recipient knows how to stage a cinematic performance that made her one of Britain’s finest actresses.
Lumley smoothly navigated from modeling to tv star, with a debut role in ‘Some Girl’s Do.’ She then joined the silver screen in film projects like Tim Burton’s the ‘Corpse Bride’ and ‘Maybe Baby.’ Years later, she landed the role of fashion director Patsy Stone in the popular series ‘Absolutely, Fabulous’ which earned her a cult following. Lumley is a patron of indigenous rights and justice campaigns despite her fame.
