Es gab eine Zeit, da gehörte Cameron Diaz zu den erfolgreichsten Schauspielerinnen überhaupt. In den 90ern kam sie nach Hollywood, um ihren Traum von einer Schauspielkarriere zu verwirklichen. Mit Rollen in Klassikern wie “Die Maske“, “Drei Engel für Charlie“ und “Verrückt nach Mary“ schaffte sie den Durchbruch schneller als erwartet. Ihre vorherige Modelkarriere trug sicherlich zu ihrem Erfolg bei und erklärt, warum sie auch heute noch strahlt, egal ob mit oder ohne Make-up. Dennoch hat sie Hollywood mittlerweile den Rücken gekehrt.
Am 5. Januar 2015 heiratete sie in Los Angeles den Musiker Benji Madden, Gitarrist der Band Good Charlotte. Seit Dezember 2019 sind Cameron und Benji Eltern einer Tochter.
