Luxurious Celebrity Houses That Will Leave You Speechless
Jimmy Carter – Plains, $167K
Luxury is often affordable for an ex-president of the United States, but Jimmy Carter prefers otherwise. The longest-living president moved to a traditional ranch-style house in a city called Plains in Georgia in 1961. It’s been over 60 years, and Carter’s family still lives in the property. The humble abode had four bedrooms at the time of construction, with a homely and authentic feel to it.
The surrounding land, which has now become the Jimmy Carter Historical National Park, has a swimming pool, tennis court, and an attached back patio to the house. According to reports, Carter and his wife have decided to turn their home into a museum after their demise.
