Les nombreux succès que Didier Deschamps a connus dans le football semblent contraster avec la simplicité de sa vie à l’écart des projecteurs. Il est marié à une orthophoniste bretonne du nom de Claude depuis 1996. Ils ont eu un fils en mai de la même année et lui ont donné le nom de Dylan.
