Léon Bruel est le plus jeune fils que Patrick Bruel a eu de son mariage avec Amanda Sthers. Il est venu au monde le 28 septembre 2005, près de deux ans après la naissance de son grand frère Oscar. Léon et Oscar résident depuis leur enfance en Californie, à l’ouest des États-Unis, avec leur mère.
Patrick Bruel est très présent pour ses garçons bien qu’il n’habite pas avec ces derniers. Il n’hésite pas à multiplier les trajets entre la France et les États-Unis pour voir ses enfants. Patrick a aussi l’intention de léguer le grand domaine qu’il a acquis dans le Vaucluse à Léon et son frère Oscar.
