Nach ein paar Minuten bemerkte Smith, dass die Kellnerin immer wieder an ihrem Tisch vorbeiging. „Die Kellnerin lief ständig vorbei, und ich hatte Angst, dass sie nicht wollte, dass ich im Restaurant stille“, sagte Smith.
Über die Jahre hinweg war Smiths Reise mit dem Stillen „sehr persönlich mit endlosen Höhen und Tiefen“ geworden.
Doch trotz ihrer neuen Überzeugungen in dieser Angelegenheit, wollte sie anderen ihre Meinung nicht aufzwingen. Also hatte Smith kein Problem damit, den offensichtlichen Wünschen der Kellnerin nachzukommen, auch wenn sie es nicht für richtig hielt. Schließlich fühlte sich die junge Mutter so unwohl, dass sie gehen wollte!
