At that point Jonathan decided to try hitchhiking. The road was not very busy but sooner or later someone would pass by: it was just a matter of time. After a few minutes Jonathan finally saw a car turn right on his side, mentally thanking good luck for the opportunity he was offering him. The chances were slim whether a vehicle passed or someone stopped. The man, however, still wanted to believe in good luck and did not give up making an attempt. What did he have to lose?
Now it was all about luck. 50% chances it will stop.
