Doutzen Kroes behaalde haar Havo-diploma, maar koos ervoor om niet meteen hogere studies aan te vatten. Ze wou namelijk eerst haar kans wagen om een carrière op te bouwen als model en schreef zich in bij Paparazzi Modeling bureau. De rest is ondertussen geschiedenis, want ze staat al enige tijd te boek als een van de vijf best betaalde modellen ooit. Ze mocht werken met de grootste modemerken zoals Gucci, Michael Kors en Versace. Recent nog maakte ze haar debuut op het grote scherm in Wonder Woman en verzamelde met al haar bezigheden ongeveer dertig miljoen euro. Alhoewel ze nu al kan rentenieren laat ze vast nog wel van haar horen.
